US-Iran Tensions Surge as Trump Warns of Retaliation Over Strait of Hormuz Attacks

President Donald Trump has increased his threats to Iran, saying that he would strike an Iranian bridge or any Iranian power plant, including bridges close to Tehran, anytime there is an attack on any ships that pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The threats have come following 11 consecutive nights of air strikes by the United States to degrade the capability of the Iranians following the renewal of fighting following an earlier ceasefire. Tensions continue to build up in the region as Iran has issued threats of massive retaliation should the US attack their underground nuclear facility located at Pickaxe Mountain and the Iran-allied Houthi rebels threaten a Red Sea blockade of the Saudis. Oil prices rose to $94 and more people continue to be killed with the Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth having told Congress that the war has so far cost $37.5 billion.
